This big canvas was a celebration for me. It came out of a time of reflection, as there was more upheaval with my health. As someone with chronic illness, I think that I will always have those moments of grief for a life that I think I could’ve had.

This day, I literally put paint to this canvas with my fingers, and let the pain, sorrow and guilt go. My thoughts and prayers were about how my spiritual journey has been forged in the fire, and has enabled me to be here, sharing with you. I remembered reading Pilgrim’s Progress, and how the progress, THE JOURNEY, is the life we’ve been given.

Jesus has to remind me now and again, that there is no other life for me to grieve. Nothing was ever snatched from me.

THIS. This life that I am living, the best I know how, is the one God chose me for.

And God doesn’t make mistakes.

And that, my friends, is making my journey all the richer.
